Company TREVOS was founded in Semily in 1990. Lot manufacture of various lighting fittings was begun in 1993. In 1995 Trevos initiates a specialization and launches production of fluorescent luminaires made of resistant thermoplastic materials. The Valdštejnsko facilities in Turnov were put into operation in order to make large-lot production. Since 1996 Trevos has been ranked among leading manufactures of lighting fixtures in the Czech Republic and with the major sales of fluorescent dustproof lighting fittings has become the Czech leader on this field. In 1999 Trevos s.r.o. (Ltd.) transformed into Trevos a.s. (Inc.) with the registered address in Turnov.

To achieve even better quality of the production, EN ISO 9002:1994 quality monitoring system is being launched which is in 2003 followed by a recertification in accordance with ISO 9001:2001. Complete removal of remaining production and administrative units from Semily to Turnov in 2006 started a modern era of TREVOS.

Svi proizvodi proizvedeni su i po standardu SRPS N. C03.302:1990 na osnovu plana sertifikacije broj KA.089/08 od 2008.06.12. INN "Vinča". Oznakama usklađenosti na proizvodima (C, CE) dokazujemo usklađenost proizvoda. Priključni kablovi za industriju električnih uređaja nose znak kvaliteta VDE.

Varta svake godine plasira na tržište novu liniju proizvoda napravljenih prema potrebama potrošača. Zbog toga ne čudi podatak da je prva punjiva baterija na tržištu upravo Vartin proizvod.
